SABIT
SPECIAL AMERICAN BUSINESS INTERNSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMME
The bureau of Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) programmes of the US Department of Commerce conducts internship training programmes for staff of small enterprises, companies and scientists engaged in various sectors of economy. More than 5000 businessmen and scientists from Newly Independent States of the former Soviet Union have passed internship training within this programme.
Each internship training starts with one- or two-week seminars on a relevant specialty and on issues of business management with subsequent visits to American companies in various states of the US.
Candidates' questionnaires are considered in the US Department of Commerce and selected on the basis of professional achievements of candidates and level of their education, and also experience of development of branch associations of small business in CIS. SABIT programme covers cost of air tickets to the US and back, hotel accomodation, training, interpretation services, medical insurance and grants for meals and petty expenses to the selected candidates.
